Major Functions:
Determine youth program applicant eligibility. Coordinate youth enrollment into career awareness, education/training, and employment services. Provide case management support from initial assessment through participation and post-exit retention period. Must be familiar with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
Pre-screen applicants in person or over the phone to obtain information, schedule and conduct eligibility determination appointments, and collect verification documentation according to program requirements.
Conduct youth outreach including presentations, event participation, etc.
Coordinate youth enrollment into career awareness, education/training, and employment services.
Provide case management support from initial assessment through participation and post-exit retention period. Provide career services to job seekers utilizing the PA CareerLink® Career Resource Center.
Conduct one-on-one assessments with program participants to identify transferable skills/education, supportive service needs, and education/employment barriers.
Assist with career exploration and career planning to include administering assessment tools and identifying career interests and training needs/appropriate training programs.
Prepare and update (jointly with participants) a written Individual Service Strategy to document action steps needed to attain education/employment goal.
Maintain a case file for each program participant to include all documentation as required by Federal, State, and local monitoring and data verification requirements.
Enter and update required participant service and outcome information into state workforce website, as well as internal tracking tools including spreadsheets, databases, and file location program.
Monitor participant performance in employment and training programs by maintaining regular contact and assist in overcoming barriers that may occur.
Experience Necessary / Learning Period:
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related experience. Six (6) month training period.
Additional Information:
May work on other projects as necessary and appropriate for position as assigned by management. Willing to travel to conferences and workshops as may be required. Must have reliable car, valid driver's license, and Act 34 Clearance. Reports to Executive Director or designee.
