As the Technical Service Manager, Americas you will manage the overall technical support for the Americas region covering all products in the Teslin® business portfolio. This is a remote position reporting to the Global Strategic Market Manager, Innovation and Technical Services Lead.Key Responsibilities

Lead regional technical projects and key strategic technical partnerships

Collaborate with strategic marketing, S&T, Plant Manufacturing and sales to address customers' needs, being the regional lead for any new product development and introduction

Support application development and market growth initiatives in the Americas region through close customer engagement and in cooperation with sales and strategic market managers.

Help vet new opportunities for the region and help maintain the information on new opportunities in the pipeline.

Identify technical market trends and competitor activity through fairs, conferences, market studies and technical visits to customers.

Work with product stewardship to ensure compliance with regional policies, work with R&D to ensure product compliance and aid Marketing communication in messaging

Manage customer quality complaints for the region and work with the sales team, manufacturing, quality and customer service to close the complaints within timing defined by management

Coordinate/attend monthly calls with global Tech Service team

Co-own creation and revisions of technical documentation with the global Tech Service team

Represent PPG as required at industry specific or relevant conferences and events with a strong, customer-focused presence

Serve as technical and applications expert, providing greater understanding of the products and applications in-depth training, within the company and to customersQualifications

B.S. degree required, degree in a scientific or technical field preferred

5+ years diverse technical service experience with demonstrated progression

Experience working in the printing, membrane, label or adhesive industries are advantageous

Focus in Technical support, Product Sales, Technical Sales, Product development

Flexibility to travel across the assigned region

Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian\'s instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
