The Department of Human Services, Norristown State Hospital, is actively seeking a CRNP to join our medical team. This position involves caring for patients with psychiatric and medical diagnoses. As a CRNP, you are responsible for the care and treatment of mentally ill patients in a designated service area, or areas.Job tasks include the professional responsibility for diagnosing, determination of treatment methods, and leadership in the implementation of treatment plans, and discharge planning. Your work is performed under the general direction of a Physician, Staff Psychiatrist, or other administrative supervisor for clinical and administrative issues and is reviewed for conformance to current, accepted psychiatric nursing and medical principles and techniques through staff conferences, case reports, observation during performance, evaluation of results, and performance improvement activities.Additional details regarding the duties of this position may be found in the.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirement:

You are required to possess a valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Condition of Employment:

You are required to possess a valid CRNP certification in an Adult Psychiatry/MH specialty area.

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
