This includes overseeing minor maintenance and repairs of stormwater control systems, as well as implementing corrective and preventive measures for any minor deficiencies that may arise. Your expertise will also be called upon to provide informed recommendations to the District Executive, Assistant District Executives in Design, Construction, and Maintenance, the District Environmental Manager, and the District County Managers regarding critical decisions. These may involve interactions with regulatory agencies, as well as the management of cleanup and disposal processes for contaminated materials.Additionally, you will take charge of the permitting section within the Environmental Unit, ensuring that all environmental activities across various programs are effectively managed. This responsibility entails a thorough oversight of compliance with all applicable rules and regulations governing these programs. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of environmental practices while facilitating the smooth operation of the unit's initiatives.

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience as an Environmental Planner 2; or
Six years of professional experience in local, regional, or state environmental planning;or
A Master's degree in planning or one of the environmental sciences and three years of progressively responsible professional environmental planning experience; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
