On-Site Facility Supervisor– Snow and Ice Operations

during the winter months. As a Facility Supervisor, you’ll primarily work at a specific

distribution center but may also be asked to work at other sites, as needed. You’ll lead a

dedicated team, support their development, and work right alongside them removing snow

and ice. This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to mentor, motivate, and

model great work will make a real difference. This seasonal role kicks in when the snow

falls, giving you the chance to lead, train, and work in the field during winter conditions

whenever the job calls for it.

Position Overview:

As a Facility Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing operations at a

distribution center during snow and ice removal events. You will lead a team of 3-4

employees. You will ensure the safety, operational efficiency, and the overall trailer-top ice

and snow removal process.

Key Responsibilities:

 Team Leadership: Oversee a team of Facility Technicians, Plow Truck Operators,

Heavy Equipment Operators, and other Supervisors.

 Safety Oversight: Ensure the safety of the team and adherence to JMC’s safety

protocols.

 Scheduling & Logistics: Assist with scheduling, team assignments, and equipment

management.

 Equipment Operation: Supervise and, if qualified, operate snowplows and frontwheel loaders with TrucBrush or bucket attachments.

 Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of trailer service,

including photos and inspection checklists.

 Accident Reporting: Report and document any incidents or accidents that occur

during operations.

 Training & Support: Provide guidance and support to team members, always

ensuring quality work and professionalism.

 Performance Assessments: Evaluate the skills, progress, and development of

team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for

growth.

 Great Communication: Due to our weather dependent job positions, it is essential

that timely and responsive communication occurs during scheduled work hours

and while off duty for scheduling purposes.

 Reliability: Exceptional availability, attendance, and punctuality are critical.

Qualifications & Expectations:

For All Roles (Facility Technician, Snowplow Operator, Front-Wheel Loader Operator, and

Supervisor):

 Physically Fit: Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work in challenging weather

conditions (cold, snow, etc.).

 Reliability: Exceptional availability, attendance, and punctuality are a must.

 Transportation: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.

 Positive Attitude: Ability to maintain a positive and calm demeanor in all situations.

 Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with

supervisors, co-workers, and clients.

 Attention to Detail: Accuracy in documentation and operational checks.

 Safety First: A commitment to ensuring safety is prioritized at all times.

Additional Qualifications for Specific Roles:

Snowplow Operator:

 Must be at least 21 years old (required to operate fleet vehicles).

 Clean driving record verified by DMV.

 3+ years of experience operating snowplows.

 Expertise in safely and efficiently operating snowplow equipment.

Front-Wheel Loader Operator:

 Experience operating a front-wheel loader with TrucBrush and/or bucket

attachment.

 Ability to perform safety checks and maintain equipment.

 Strong situational awareness, ensuring safe operations around vehicles and

pedestrians.

Supervisor: Meets qualifications of every other position

 Experience overseeing teams and operations, ensuring safety and compliance.

 Ability to complete minor scheduling tasks and assess team member

performance.

 Ensure all necessary inspections and checklists are completed accurately.

 Strong leadership skills, providing support and motivation to team members.
