What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Must be 25 years of age or older
Must have a valid Class C Pennsylvania Operator’s License
Must have had a valid license for at least 5 years
Pass a DOT pre-employment physical and maintain DOT standard physical requirement; and maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times
Must not have had more than two moving traffic violations within the previous three-year period; a moving traffic violation for careless driving or excessive speeding; a misdemeanor DUI on record; or their licenses suspended for moving violations in the past three years
Possess valid authorization to work in the United States
Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
Must pass criminal background check investigation
Skills:
Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area
What You’ll Do:
Provide safe and reliable transportation
Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
Complete paperwork as required
Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
