Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support for various financial tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in bookkeeping software.

Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable.

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries using double entry bookkeeping methods.

Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.

Prepare and file Sales Tax and Locality Tax documents in compliance with governmental regulations.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.

Utilize QuickBooks software for efficient bookkeeping processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role is preferred.

Experience working in a virtual environment and using cloud-based applications.

Proficient in account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and payroll processing.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, especially proficient with Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
