We are a growing financial services company in Old City, Philadelphia currently in need of a Junior Accountant with a background in customer service. This is a full time, salaried position in-house and direct hire. Salary will commensurate with experience. No Staffing or H1B applicants will be considered.
Responsibilities:
Daily accounts payable invoice data processing in an accounting system.
Communicate with functional areas to investigate unusual transactions and verify accounts payable invoice coding.
Daily accounts receivable cash receipt processing and invoice generation in the accounting system.
Maintain and reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
Completing bi-weekly accounts payable checks.
Record payroll entry in the accounting system.
Perform monthly bank account reconciliations.
Work closely with Accounting Manager and leadership.
Investigate and report to the manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
Other special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
Must have an Accounting degree and at least 2 years relevant experience
Excellent Communications Skills
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
Must have extremely strong MS Excel skills
QuickBooks experience a plus
