eataboutown is in its early growth phase and now assembling a founding team to help scale the product, drive strategic partnerships, and secure early investment.
Role Description:
We are seeking a Co-Founder responsible for Fundraising & Strategy to join eataboutown at the earliest stage. This founder will be instrumental in securing our pre-seed/seed funding, building investor relationships, and shaping the company’s strategic path toward national scale.
This is a full-time, equity-based founder role, ideal for someone who has raised capital before OR has deep networks with angels, syndicates, or early-stage venture groups. You will work directly with the CEO/founder to prepare for fundraising, refine our deck, craft our financial model, meet with investors, and help drive the app from early market validation into full launch.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the entire fundraising process (pre-seed through seed).
Build and manage relationships with angel investors, micro-VCs, syndicates, and accelerators.
Refine and co-develop the pitch deck, investor narrative, and supporting materials.
Develop and stress-test financial models and projections with the founder.
Represent eataboutown in meetings, demos, accelerator programs, and investor calls.
Help shape strategic decisions around product, partnerships, and go-to-market.
Collaborate with engineering/design partners as the platform scales.
Build partnerships with restaurant groups, small business associations, and hospitality networks.
Commit fully to eataboutown as a core founding team member (full-time).
Uphold company culture, values, and milestone execution.
Ideal Qualifications:
Previous experience raising capital for a startup OR strong investor networks.
Familiarity with angel investing, seed fundraising, and early-stage venture dynamics.
Strong storytelling, pitch, and communication skills.
Ability to build financial models and communicate economics clearly.
Experience in startups, tech, hospitality, food-tech, fintech, or marketplace businesses.
Comfortable working with uncertainty, building from scratch, and scaling rapidly.
Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward action.
Full-time availability and willingness to commit as an equity-only co-founder
