Our client is a popular attraction for people of all ages featuring SLIME.
You will work on a team of Slimetenders, welcoming visitors and staffing experiential and retail stations throughout the space. Full and part time opportunities available!
If you have a customer facing background working in museums, attractions, or with kids and families this is a great opportunity for you! Experience with slime is not required, but flexibility, creativity, and exceptional customer service skills are must-haves.
Candidates must be available to consistently work weekends, holidays, and periods where school in not in session.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warmly greets and interacts with guests.
Consults with guests to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the guest’s needs.
Assist guests with purchase decisions and questions about merchandise.
Retrieves merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations, place special orders.
Collects payment using the store point of sale system.
Process returns and exchanges.
On a daily basis review shelves and ensure that the store is fully stocked, and products are priced correctly.
Weekly review of purchases and opportunity for improving sales with the General Manager.
Ensure the presentation of all products is in keeping with expectations.
Weekly review of inventory and making forecasting recommendations.
Retail sales averaging $15/guest.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent sales and guest service skills.
Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
Ability to anticipate guests’ needs.
Ability to recommend merchandise to guests.
Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail experience preferred.
On-the-job training provided.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
All applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
