We are seeking energetic and motivating people to work with children with various developmental disabilities in both their home and school settings in the Montgomery County area.
**Requirements**
Experience and knowledge of ABA therapy REQUIRED. Applicant must hold a bachelor's degree in a related field (Spec. Ed, Education, or Psychology) along with a minimum of 1 year experience working with children with developmental disabilities. RBT CERTIFICATION PREFERRED.
This is an independent contractor position where as a therapist, you will be providing a one on one service to preschool age students in the home and/or preschool setting.
Essential components of this position are listed below but are subject to change at the discretion of Potential Discoveries. This job description describes essential job functions, but does not provide an exhaustive list of duties that may be assigned.
â¢Provide direct student support in 1:1 and/or group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
â¢Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
â¢Collect data on observable student behavior.
â¢Assist Behavior Specialist Consultants in preparing students' materials as instructed.
â¢Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
The therapist agrees to obtain PRIOR TO START DATE and maintain the following state and federal law requirements: Act 34 State Police Criminal Records Check, Act 151 Child Abuse History Clearances, Federal Fingerprinting Screening (MUST BE THROUGH DEPT OF EDUCATION), CPR and First Aid and Section 1418(b) Tuberculosis screening.
Additionally, all therapists are required to obtain Professional Liability Insurance.
