POSITION TITLE: Project Manager
LOCATION: Broad Axe, Pennsylvania

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced structural project manager, possessing their PE license. He/she will have experience in a wide variety of structural areas including buildings and with a wide variety of materials (steel, concrete, cold-formed metal, and wood) and will work collaboratively with all employees in both offices of the company, including the Senior Associate (Philadelphia) and Senior Engineering Manager (Nashville). He/she will be involved in all aspects of a project – proposals, client/architect communication, managing junior staff, analysis and design calculations, structural detailing, CAD work, modeling, final document/report preparation and construction administration.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Degreed structural engineer with PE license
10-15 years of design experience including minimum 5 years of project management experience
Experience managing a team of junior engineers and drafters
Design experience with buildings and common building codes required
Comfortable working with clients at all levels
Ability and interest to conduct site visits as necessary
KEY RESPONSIBLITLIES:
Write proposals for new projects
Build and maintain client relationships
Manage all phases of multiple projects from design development and documentation to construction administration
Delegate, monitor progress and review work as and when required
Interest in working with a firm that has a diverse portfolio of projects
Capability to design, manage projects, work with clients, and deliver projects on time to ensure client satisfaction
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Solid design skills with buildings
Experience working with a wide variety of materials such as steel, concrete, cold-formed metal, and wood
Comfort in working with clients to determine needs and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
Problem solving approach to all tasks
