Survey Technician – Fully Remote

Pay: $30–$38/Hr. (depending on experience)
Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann company is seeking a Survey Technician to support survey operations for our Civil Engineering client. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with an immediate need to fill. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while working closely with a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Create deed and reference maps to accurately represent survey data.
Prepare and configure data to support efficient field operations.
Analyze and convert post-survey data for project completion.
Perform construction layout calculations, as-built surveys, and sketches.
Produce grade sheets and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
Conduct topographic analysis and draft Metes & Bounds descriptions.
Develop FEMA Elevation Certificates and Subdivision/Lot Consolidation Plans.
Mentor CAD Drafters and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
Use field crew data collector files, sketches, and reference maps to develop mapping solutions.
Maintain high standards for plan presentation and survey traverse adjustments.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant surveying experience.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Solid mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to produce clean, accurate, and professional deliverables.
Deep understanding of field survey operations and the construction/engineering industry.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.
