A leading utility provider located in Philadelphia, PA is looking for an Advanced Network Engineer for a 6-12 month contract with the strong possibility of an extension.

Please note: This position will be onsite.

Requirements and skills


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • CISCO Certification mandatory, CISCO CCNP minimum.

  • Expert knowledge of CISCO Hardware (Router, Switches, Firewall, SAN Switches and Fabric manager) and IOS.

  • Experience with EVPL, MPLS, TLS, SIP, ENS.

  • DNS Administration.

  • Expert Knowledge with Palo Alto firewall. PCNSA preferred

  • Experience with working with F5

  • CISCO UCS and HP Chassis networking experience

  • Experience with working with SCADA networks.

  • Expert knowledge of networking technologies (VPN, Wireless).

  • Strong understanding of the seven layer model.

  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations.

  • Effectiveness in all aspects of core technical skills.

  • Experience with cloud networking a must.

  • Knowledge with Sonus Gateways preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding)

  • Solid knowledge of Desktop and Server Operating systems and Hardware technologies.

  • Ability to plan and oversee day-to-day activities independently

  • Proven ability to work under stress or in emergencies.

  • Flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite tools and Visio.
