We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.Job SummaryWe are seeking Bridge Engineers to join TYLin's Bridge Sector. Our New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City offices are seeking Bridge Engineers for projects including conceptual planning, through design, construction, and completion. The role of Bridge Engineer will be to work with team members of large bridge projects. You will assist or lead the design of assigned task of bridge projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, quality deliverables and cost-effectiveness. The position involves leading the development of bridge 3D modeling, bridge design, and retaining wall design and layouts. You may provide supervision and guidance to a group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals for accuracy and completeness; and maintaining budgets and schedules. You will support proposal efforts to expand our project base in the Northeast market.Responsibilities & QualificationsPerform structural analysis and prepare design calculations.

Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.

Prepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations.

Strong technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality.

Familiarity with AASHTO and NJDOT/NJTA/PennDOTdesign and standards preferred.

Computer skills desired include Finite Element Software, Bridge Design Software, Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Drafting (Microstation preferred).

Familiarity with developing 3-D analysis models.

Successfully interface with staff from a range of other disciplines (highway, traffic, civil, planning, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects.

Other responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridges or structures from an ABET Accredited University.

4-10 years of bridge design and analysis experience.

PE license, or the ability to obtain one within one year is preferred.

Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred.

Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills

As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $72,400 - $130,300 annually for this position and local market.
