Position Purpose:The Client Service Representative is responsible for processing financial transactions and customer requests at a high rate of quality and productivity into 529 college savings plans. This role is responsible for following a variety of documented product procedures and matrices for multiple partners. The Candidate must be able to work in a high-paced environment and work. A degree of decision making is essential to this position. Overtime may be required. This position covers the shift of 1:00pm - 9:30pmEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Productivity/Qualitya) Process a diverse range of financial and non-financial transactions including but not limited to:§ New Account Set Up§ Account Contributions§ Account Disbursements§ Fund Transfers and Exchanges§ Client Correspondenceb) Consistently meet productivity, timeliness, and quality standards.c) Periodically assist or coordinate support for other functional units.d) Perform quality assurance on transactions processed by peers.e) Overtime during some weekends and holidays may be required.Training/Job Knowledgea) Complete core corporate training and develop solid knowledge of systems.b) Provide input into new department policies and procedures.c) Consistently improve job knowledge to advance service capabilities through training and self study.d) Learn and follow plan rules and procedures that vary by partner/planWorkflow/Process Improvementa) Recommend improvements to applications, workflows, and procedures.b) Staff are required to come up with project ideas to improve departmental functions and are measured on their input to the process.Team Worka) Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members as a result of performing quality assurance on team members work.b) Willingness to work as a team and provide quality service to our clients.c) Assist management during busy periods to mentor and evaluate temporary staff. Performs the duties of the Team Coach in his/her absence and shares in those responsibilities on a daily basis. Ensures that the team\'s quality and timeliness of service meets performance indicator goals. Responsible for the cost-effective use of resources to accomplish the team\'s assigned outcomes. Gathers, interprets, and recommends appropriate action based on a wide range of data addressing service concerns. Analyzes and interprets laws, rules and regulations and their effect on the establishment of new policies, procedures, and/or methods of operation. Monitor leave balances, approve/deny leave, and certify timecards. Run production and workload reports. Communicate with senior management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/26/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. To verify your eligibility, you must submit a copy of your most recent Notification of Personnel Action, Standard Form 50 (SF-50). The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. You must provide a copy of your most recent SF-50 that indicates proof of status, and shows Time in Grade (for example, you were a career or career-conditional employee) and identifies your position title, series, grade, step, salary, tenure, and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.
