The Clinical Contract Administrator at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine's Clinical Research Administration Department will report to the Director of Industry Contracts/Budgets. The candidate will be responsible for providing pre-award industry contract services to individual investigators within the Department of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery. The incumbent will work with but not limited to Industry sponsors, Principal Investigators, Research staff, University Counsel, Risk Management, Compliance Office.

Responsibilities include:

Review, negotiate, and execute study related documents, including contracts, master agreements, amendments, Letter of Indemnifications, and other legal documents required for the studies.

Communicate with all appropriate parties the status of where the study contracts, or associated documents are in the process.

Record dates as the documents progress up to obtaining signatures.

Working with but not limited to Industry Sponsors, Principal Investigators, Research Staff, University Counsel, Risk Management

Finalize Clinical Research Agreements, working with CRA Budget Team, and request signatures be obtained.

Meet timelines for completion of study documents

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least six years of experience in sponsored research or related field. An equivalent combination of education and or experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs, including MS Word and advanced MS Excel functions.

Demonstrated knowledge of grant proposal applications for varied funding agencies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population.

Demonstrated organizational skills, along with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and process large amounts of information.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.

Preferred: Contracting experience within a higher education or hospital setting.

Please note this position will work remotely, the duration of remote work will be at the discretion of Temple University and the department. May require occasional on-site days with adequate notice.
