JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Cyber Digital Team is seeking to fill a New Business Underwriter position. The primary focus of the position will be underwriting Cyber New Business opportunities for commercial clients with less than $100m of revenues.Major Duties & Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Assess and underwrite cyber submissions, including analyzing applications, supporting documents, and third party data to determine risk exposure.
Evaluate IT Security Controls, such as common security measures, data protection protocols, and potential vulnerabilities, to determine appropriate coverage limits and premiums.
Collaborate with brokers and agents to understand insured's needs, answer inquiries, and negotiate policy terms and conditions.
Binds coverage and documents the underwriting files
Handles an assigned territory/book of business
Participates in projects or tasks to assist the teamQUALIFICATIONS
0-3 years of previous underwriting experience is highly desired.
Experience within cyber security is a plus.
Cyber/Tech E&O experience preferred.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Analytical ability to evaluate risks according to corporate underwriting guidelines.
Proven negotiation skills, gained through established broker/client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
