Job DescriptionData Engineer - Cognitive Data ServicesPrimary duties will include design, implement and support of a hybrid ecosystem of on premise and cloud data solution architectures. The candidate will have knowledge of modern data architecture, Cloud architectures, and integration patterns such as RDBMS, Snowflake, Azure Event Architecture, Web Services, Machine Learning and Data Virtualization via federation technologies.Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement and document scalable and efficient solution for internal and external data services that adhere to best practices and standards.

Design, develop, implement and document data processing pipelines catering to both batch and real-time data engineering requirement.

Collaborate with development and operation team to integrate data pipelines, ETL process and data-driven applications into CI/CD framework, ensuring seamless code deployment

Ensure robust data quality within tight timelines by designing, implementing and monitoring data management solution. Collaborate closely with teams to drive continuous data quality improvement.

Evaluate/understand impact of database changes on other systems and applications, ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with change management control

The data engineer will report to IT Manager ? Cognitive Data Service.

Proven experience in the implementation of modern data patterns for event based and real time data exchange a plus.

Proven experience in building solutions with hybrid data architectures such as, but not limited to Airflow, Snaplogic, Informatica, Boomi or MuleSoft.

Strong knowledge with Relational Databases for building out structured backends (Oracle, Snowflake, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; experience working with senior managers and members of other departments. Must be comfortable in working and communicating with customer representatives to expand relationship

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical Science

Minimum 5 years in design, mentorship and implementing data centric solutions working across a hybrid data ecosystem, along with understanding of the challenges and limitations of these solutions.
