Provides full conceptual electrical estimating from minimal information, such as Architectural drawings and/or narratives
Ability to understand electrical systems from plans/narratives as well as verbal communication
Ability to create detailed electrical bid packages for proposal purposes
Prepares and reviews quantity take-offs on projects.
Develops relationships with sub-contractors, and identifies new material suppliers and subcontractors
Originates and maintains current subcontractor and material supplier solicitation lists.
Coordinates bids; obtains and analyzes bids on projects from subcontractors and material vendors.
Prepares and reviews accurate pricing of estimates, including labor, material and subcontract items.
Attends client meetings to present and explain budgets and estimates.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5+ years estimating experience for large commercial construction projects
Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
Excellent computer skills, specifically AccuBid, on-screen takeoff, Excel, Bluebeam
Excellent math, budgeting, purchasing, organization, and interpersonal skills.

SUMMARY An Electrical Material Coordinator (EMC) will be responsible for coordinating the material distribution activities between PSI Material Control (MC) and the Electrical Installation Subcontractor. Manage Electrical Material remote warehouse and assist PSI MC with monitoring and controlling vessel specific materials. The EMC will be responsible for managing the floor stock list consisting of all items per vessel design being built. The individual will interface with electrical design team, planning, quality control, procurement, design sub-contractors, and production personnel as required to complete their assigned activities.
