As Fleet Manager in your market you will run point as the leader of all fleet operations supporting the vehicle lifecycle. This includes leading the Fleet Operations team, managing relationships with vendors and supply chain team, and ensuring our vehicles are safe, clean, and able to deliver an exceptional experience for our members. - this will include increasing and decreasing fleet to meet demand, managing upkeep, repair and maintenance of vehicles.What you'll do:

Partner with Operations leadership to align on strategic goals and initiatives in order to lead local team to achieve business goals and improve overall member satisfaction (NPS).

Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles

Responsible for maintaining fleet costs in accordance to market budget.

Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts and relationships to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard.

Work across Zipcar functional teams to support performance and process improvement.

Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of fleet management staff including but not limited to: performance management, succession planning, goal setting, development and input performance reviews.What You'll love about being a Zipster in Operations

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field required

4-5 years operations management experience (preferably in rental car / car share)

Prior experience working in operations for a complex organization providing a 365/24/7 service

Can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, while maintaining confidentiality

Demonstrated ability to identify staffing needs and to hire key employees

Experience tracking the success of operational improvement programs with an acute eye for sustainable, organization-wide improvements

Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record (per company standards)What tops off the tank:

Community involvement opportunitiesThe annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000 - $74,000 annually.
