The IS Developer will:

Develop greenfield applications and enhance/extend existing applications in support of clinical and business operations using modern web technologies for full stack development.

Exhibit in-depth knowledge of at least two (2) modern programming languages and the application development life cycle.

Have strong full-stack development, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of project management software and related tools.

Need to work closely with other developers, clients, and external vendors to gather requirements, estimate timelines, and execute implementation plans.

Have the ability to become subject matter experts in the applications they develop or are responsible for.

Exhibit knowledge of and contributes to developing best practices, policies, and procedures.

Exhibit the ability to work with minimal supervision in support of team initiatives.

Be familiar with Agile software development and project management methodologies.

The position requires outstanding written and verbal communications skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers across the organization.What you will do

Develops complex applications in required platforms and languages as defined in specifications prepared by IS personnel or vendors.

Independently modifies existing or creates new code to meet specific user requirements.

Participates in the creation and updating of project plans, issue logs, etc. in accordance with departmental standards.

Prepares formal change implementation plans and monitors their implementation.

Prepares unit and system test data to meet predefined requirements and conducts testing.

Provides technical input into current production design as well as planned systems maintenance and enhancements.

Provide tier II support to resolve intermediate problems with supported applications.

Generates moderate to complex documentation, including design specifications, flowcharts, etc.

Provides instruction on various technical topics to other staff members and assist in training intermediate and end-users.

Testing and Test Automation:

Authors automated unit, behavioral and functional tests where appropriate and executes test suites as part of development efforts.

Information Security:

Authors code in compliance with documented general information security standards and guidelines.

Application Performance and Maintenance:

Troubleshoots application performance issues

Routinely monitors and examine logs for issues and uses them to assist in resolution.

Code and Component Reuse:

Utilizes available code libraries, components, and frameworks to accelerate development efforts.

Quality Activities:

Participates in code reviews, design reviews, and requireme ts reviews.

Conduct code, design, and requirements reviews on items of low complexity. Participate in defect analysis.

Requirements:

Participates in requirements elicitation meetings with clients. Seek clarification of business requirements with the goal of being able to convert them to technical requirements and implement them into application code.

Elicits business requirements from clients for small, low complexity work using basic techniques (e.g. meetings; use cases; user stories) and convert to technical requirements. Participate in requirements analysis sessionsEducation Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business RequiredExperience Qualifications

At least one (1) year Relevant application and integration development experience Required

At least one (1) year within a healthcare environment PreferredSkills and Abilities

JavaScript development experience

Experience with JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, React or Angular.

Software development experience with a primary language such as PHP, Python, or ColdFusion

Experience using Agile/Scrum or other development methodology

Knowledge of best practices regarding development, documentation, and secure coding.

Strong communication and customer facing engagement experience.
