Graduate/Associate Highway Engineer

Pennoni is currently seeking an Graduate/Associate Highway Engineer with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Passion for design, including Microstation / InRoads 3-D Modelling of transportation infrastructure projects.

Exposure to developing set of Transportation plans, including highway design, hydrology and drainage calculations and design, SWM and ES&C design; water and sanitary sewer utility layout, MOT plans and geometry.

Functions will require a basic knowledge of all engineering principles, such as calculations and profiling; storm water management and basic stormwater pipe design; proficient CADD experience with Microstation, Inroads, AutoCad, and/or Civil 3D. Field assignments will include construction consultation and E&SC monitoring. CCR certification preferred.

Support projects/tasks of various sizes for a variety of clients including: DelDOT, SHA and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, locally administered transportation projects

Provide guidance and mentor younger engineers and technical staff with the use of MicroStation Connect, Open Roads Design and Project Wise and coordinating highway design tasks with survey, traffic, water resources and bridge staff on transportation improvement projects

Required Attributes:

Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

1-5 years of experience

Licenses required: EIT, (PE or PTOE desirable)

Preferred Attributes:

MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience a plus

Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW

Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions

Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience. CCR certification a plus

Construction consultation and utility coordination experience a plus
