AECOM is seeking a HIGHWAY ENGINEERING TECHNICAL LEAD to be based in Eastern Pennsylvania. AECOM has offices in Mechanicsburg, Philadelphia and Conshohocken, PA. This is a HYBRID position and additional office locations may be considered.In this role, you will provide technical leadership and design management under the direction of project managers on large scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area.If you are experienced in developing the highway design technical approach, quantities and pricing, while also developing the civil discipline design schedule, and coordinating with other disciplines including Structures, Transit, Water Resources, and Traffic; then this would be a great fit for you!  In this role, you will also coordinate with the Highway Engineering Task Lead, Department Manager, and the Project Manager to advance project scope and deliverables. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Technical management and coordination of roadway construction plan, construction phasing and traffic control plan, signing and pavement marking plan(s), and cross section development.Technical management and coordination of right-of-way plan development.Technical management and coordination of safety review and pavement report submissions.Technical management and coordination of coordinated utility conflict resolutions based on interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needsTechnical management and coordination of construction specifications, quantities, and cost estimatesTechnical oversight of 3D Model in OpenRoads or Infrastructure CloudTechnical management of calculations and reports per client and/or internal AECOM standardsAdhere to and promote AECOM quality proceduresVerify completion of interdisciplinary technical reviewsContribute to internal project-related staffing decisions to facilitate meeting client schedule, scope, and budget.Contribute to the development of proposals and other marketing efforts to win new work.Prepare presentations that explain technical findings, recommendations, and limitationsWork collaboratively as part of a larger design team to proactively meet the client’s scope, budget, and schedule through ethical and responsible decision making.Provide support to AECOM project managers and technical department managers.Develop discipline-specific design schedule and milestone dates based on major project milestone dates as determined by the client and/or project managerCurrent notable projects include:I-95 RECONSTRUCTION (Philadelphia, PA) – Urban interstate reconstruction including interchange ramp and local roadway re-alignments, traffic control, and utility coordination in final design to mitigate level of service and improve existing conditionsSTATE RD RECONSTRUCTION (Bucks County, PA) – Suburban arterial reconstruction including right-of-way plan development, roadway geometry, pavement design, traffic control, and utility coordination in preliminary engineering to mitigate existing roadway floodingSR1 RECONSTRUCTION (Chester County, PA) – Freeway reconstruction including profile adjustments, interchange reconstruction, interchange ramp realignments, multiple roundabout designs, trail designs, and side road alignment adjustments.I-81 RECONSTRUCTION (Avoca, Moosic, and Scranton, PA) - Urban Interstate reconstruction including mainline widening, 2 interchanges being fully reconstructed including ramp realignments, intersection improvements, right-of- way coordination, and structure coordination for 15 bridges along mainline and ramps.
