The team supports several critical areas, Windows Servers, VMWARE ESX, Storage Area Networks. Specific assignments may include large projects as well as routing maintenance and troubleshooting with both prioritized based on criticality to company operations.This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule - 3 days on site and 2 remote after 6 months for PA residents. For the first 6 months you are required to be on site 5 days per week. After 6 months you are also eligible for a compressed work week.LAN/WAN Engineers analyze, design, test, and evaluate local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems including but not limited to internet, intranet, and other data communications systems. Incumbents maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations to ensure network availability to all system users.Responsibilities

Diagnoses hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.

Performs data backups and disaster recovery operations.

Performs routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.

Maintains needed files by adding and deleting files on the network server and backing up files to guarantee their safety in the event of problems with the network.

Sets up user accounts, regulating and monitoring file access to ensure confidentiality and proper use.

Maintains the peripherals, such as printers, that are connected to the network.

Provides first levelresolution of hardware/software platform problems in complex, multi-layered environment, tracks and monitors reported problems to ensure a timely resolution; follows-up with user to ensure issue has been sufficiently resolved.

Keeps current knowledge of Voice, Data, LAN/WAN and Wireless Cellular hardware, software and architectures.

Performs other special projects and assignments as requested.

Ensuring the control, reliability and performance of all telecommunication

Completing all requests for changes to call fiows from Call Center

Provides basic face to face client training for cellular phones and tablets including Senior

Completing requests to add, move and change telephone sets and voice mail boxes for all PGW sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or other related field of study

1 to 3 years hands on experience innetwork technologies and protocols such as VPN, Frame Relay, Wireless, and CISCO hardware (Routers, Switches, Firewalls), VoIP and Wireless Cellular.

Must have knowledge ofnetwork monitoring, and health reporting as well as packet analysis.

Must have knowledge of business process reengineering concepts with the ability to solve practical problems, deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists and lead requirements definition activities

Must have understanding of customer satisfaction basics with the ability to apply concepts in the process of servicing the customer.

Must have computer skills with working knowledge of Avtex, Novell, Microsoft or Cisco (Certification in one of these applications is highly desired).

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree
