Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Assistant based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role primarily involves supporting legal operations in a dynamic environment. You will be tasked with managing legal documentation, conducting research, and providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient operations. This is a part-time, two day a week position.Responsibilities: Facilitate smooth operations by effectively managing legal documents and ensuring their proper organization. Handle case management duties utilising software tools such as Aderant and CompuLaw. Employ Adobe Acrobat and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) to process and manage data. Support in the preparation and management of trial work, including personal injury litigation. Leverage your knowledge and skills in Personal Injury Law to support plaintiff personal injury work. Utilize your strong communication skills to maintain positive client relations and handle client inquiries. Manage calendar events and deadlines to ensure no lapses in legal proceedings or client appointments. Administer claims and ensure all legal requirements and client needs are met. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings. Oversee billing functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of legal fees and expenses.Requirements Proficiency in Aderant and Adobe Acrobat software Familiarity with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) Experience with Case Management Software and CompuLaw Ability to handle Billing Functions Proficient in Calendar Management and Claim Administration Strong Client Relations and Communication skills Knowledge of Personal Injury Law, Personal Injury Litigation, and handling Personal Injury Plaintiffs Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times and adhere to company policies and procedures Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
