Posted Date: Mar 8 2024The Manager, Market Access, Contract Development leads contract development activities that support the Market Access team. This role provides you the opportunity to support key activities to progress your career, and these responsibilities include the following:
Support Vaccines/Specialty/Innovation segments through contract development for purchasers and government customers (retail, GPOs, organized providers, direct customer offers, Federal, PBGs, DMGs, etc.) based on approved contracting strategies
On point for all aspects of developing and writing of the contract which includes working closely with Strategic Account Teams, Business Units, Contract Analytics, Contract Operations, Market Access Strategy, and Legal in the development of contract language and submission of bids.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with customers and senior leaders
Understanding of GSK enterprise-wide organizational relationships, systems, decision making, contracting, compliance guidelines, and commercial practices
Ability to manage high volume of contracting complexities requiring strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills
Review, approve and monitor rebate and service fee payments based on contract obligations
Act as primary point of contact regarding contracts
Respond to internal requests regarding contractual issues
Lead and participate in special projects as neededWhy You?
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of contract development or contract strategy experience in the pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry
Experience with US market access business dynamics and customersPreferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree
Purchaser contracting experience desirable, with strong emphasis on contract language
Experience with customer negotiations, influencing, problem-solving and facilitation skills
Understanding of contracting challenges with ability to develop effective resolutions
Ability to work across other departments effectively and efficiently
Capable of working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
Strong business acumen and analytic skills
Motivated to learn different business segments
Well-developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication with a track record of building relationships both internal and external to the company
Demonstrated experience leading and coaching people in complex, changing conditions
Project management experience
