About the Position The Managing Producer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the production process of various photo and video assets for an automotive client, including TV, digital, radio, print, and social media projects. This role involves coordinating with creative teams, clients, vendors, and freelancers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet creative and strategic objectives. The producer will work hand-in-hand with account teams as the central point of contact for all photo and video production projects and the creative team to bring ideas to life.RequirementsWhat you'll be responsible for:
Production Management: Oversee end-to-end production of photo and video projects , ensuring seamless execution from concept through post-production.
Vendor Relations: Source and manage relationships with directors, photographers, post-production houses, and other external partners, negotiating contracts and rates when necessary.
Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients during all phases of production from concept to final asset delivery, updating them on progress, seeking approvals, and managing expectations.
Creative Collaboration: Partner with creative, account, and client teams to bring ideas to life, working closely with art directors, copywriters, and advertising team members to translate treatments and visual concepts into detailed pre-production plans.
Brand Stewardship: Act as a brand steward across all client productions, ensuring that work produced by internal teams and external vendors adheres to brand standards and aligns with the brand’s voice, visual identity, and strategic objectives. Identify opportunities to repurpose assets and streamline processes for multi-departmental needs.
Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring costs are tracked, and projects are delivered within the allocated budget.
Timeline Oversight: Create and manage production schedules, ensuring all projects are completed on time and meet all deadlines.
Talent Coordination: Handle casting, contracts, and union regulations for on-camera and voiceover talent as needed.
Quality Control: Ensure the final product meets agency and client standards, overseeing revisions, approvals, and deliveries of final assets.
Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to legal, regulatory, and client-specific guidelines.
The skills and experience you should have:
Experience: 8+ years of experience as a producer in an advertising agency or production company, with experience managing multi-channel campaigns.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Production, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with production software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, project management tools).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of production processes for TV, digital, radio, and print campaigns.
Budgeting Skills: Experience managing production budgets and timelines, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Vendor Network: Established relationships with production companies, talent agencies, and post-production partners.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to clients and internal teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities, especially under tight deadlines.
Attention to Detail: High level of organization and attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
It’s a plus if you have:
Experience with union talent and working with SAG-AFTRA regulations.
Knowledge of emerging digital media trends and experience with branded content campaigns.
Proficiency in using project management tools like Adobe Workfront and Airtable.
Familiarity with agency billing processes and vendor payment management.
Location and travel expectations:
Office and On-site: The role may require occasional on-location supervision for video, photo, or live event shoots.
Travel: Some travel may be required for productions.
