Experience & Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum one-year medical records experience.
Familiarity with the Problem Oriented Medical Record (SOAP) system essential.
We do require hands on CPR through either Amercan Heart of Amercan Red Cross.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.ResponsibilitiesBelow is a list of your responsibilities as a Medical Records Clerk with YesCare at the Philadelphia Riverside Correctional Facility, 8151 State Road.
Day Shift 7a-3:30pm; Alternating Weekends
Ensures confidentiality of all medical records information, and completes forms for release of information; utilizes electronic medical record system eCW as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities
Retrieve medical charts for all healthcare staff or clinicians as requested. File daily all in use medical records. Secure all active and inactive medical records.
Assure that charts are counter-signed by Physician, check charts for completeness.
Release information at the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor, Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
Answer the telephone, take messages and make telephone calls. Type letters, reports and memorandums.
Maintain a roster or appointment book for all scheduled patient appointments both on and off-site.
Order, receive and maintain office supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
