Description:Pennsylvania Compensation Ratings Bureau has a need for C# Developers as they grow their team due to a modernization of their platform. The "PCRB" assists with Workman's Compensation Insurance rates. All base rates for Workman's Compensation are set. Each state has an organization to set the rates at the state level. Each Rating Bureau has a Charter with the State Government. Essentially they are a collective insurance company for Workman's Compensation that operates as a non for profit. The funding/revenue comes from the insurance fees from the insurance companies that sell Workman's Compensation insurance. The Developer programs enhancements to requirements and standards, gathers and refines requirements as needed, diagnoses and repairs production issues, maintains documentation, and assists with departmental tasks as needed. The developer is to be intermediate with the relevant technical skills as well as soft skills. Responsibilities: Collaborating with management, departments Following established system development methodologies (SDLC or agile) Designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems to support requirements, design, and system documentation Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements Testing and deploying programs and applications using proven methods with appropriate documentation Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects including workflows and processes Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and programming trends.Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in: C#, SQL, JavaScript, Entity Framework, and related skills. Growing proficiency in: REACT, ASP.NETCORE, JSON Beneficial if skilled in: VB.netCore Skills: Communication skills: able to write clear, concise documents and communicate with both technical and nontechnical team members Organizational skills: able to work on more than one assignment concurrently Analytical and critical thinking skill: able to problem solve and consider multiple angles or impacts Ability to adapt: able to change direction and innovate Independence: works independently and seeks help as appropriate Curiosity: interested in understanding existing and emerging technology, interested in the business benefit and purpose of solutionsRequirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experienceExperience: 4-7 years developing in listed technology.Skills Required: Strong organizational, communication, and management skills with the ability to work independently and adapt to various situations. PC proficient with in depth PC knowledge.
