Under direction of appropriate manager, maintain responsibility for overall shift operations, production performance, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Maintain and monitor facility and staff for regulatory compliance and safe behavior in accordance with all federal, state, local, and customer requirements.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Supervise operations personnel in accordance with operations plan, health and safety plan, work rules, monitoring and testing requirements.

Assure adherence/compliance to all federal, state, local permit requirements, assuring that materials are processed in safe, efficient, timely manner

Assist in training and development of operations personnel.

Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of equipment to assure quality production standards.

Uphold facility hygiene and stringent housekeeping standards.

Maintain accurate production, quality control, equipment records and daily inspection reports

Communicate to management/supervisors: facility needs, difficulties, changes in operations.

Help to implement safety, health, and environmental plans & procedures.

Assist with maintenance of equipment as requested

Participate in customer tours of production facility as required

Assist other departments (i.e. maintenance, transportation, sales) as necessary

Basic Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience

6+ years of mechanical experience (Including Heavy Construction Equipment-Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Screening Equipment, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree

Welding, Metal Fabrication, Diesel Mechanical experience

Extremely organized and attention to detail required

Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator

Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers

Ability to follow directions or instructions

Ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information

Leads real time data collection and analysis to provide direction to plant operations staff for activities associated with system testing, trouble shooting, discovery, maintenance/repairs, restoration, record keeping, plant reconfiguration and hazardous energy control. Responsible to execute disaster recovery and contingency plans during planned and unplanned work. Develops, engages and supervises staff by using continuous improvement technics to promote the well-being of employees with performance evaluations, technical/compliance training and coaching.
