Job Description

The Oracle EBS Technical Lead is responsible for leading design, estimate, development, document, and implementation of well-tested solutions that satisfy the requirements of each application development request within the allocated time and budget.

Essential Functions

  • Provide technical leadership to support and enhance Oracle HCM R12 environment
  • Provide direction and guidance to team resources for all PL/SQL, Report, Interface, Conversion, Extensions, Workflow (RICE-W) and infrastructure design, development, and testing
  • Develop and maintain cross technical support efforts across teams (technical, functional and testing)
  • Develop technical specifications and review design/development output from other technical resources.
  • Provide technical team support through status meetings and other ad-hoc meeting capture and deliverables for roll up to the project manager
  • Create technical plans for all aspects of the technical deliverables
  • Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring for other team members
  • Provide Quality Assurance oversight to technical team and assist in improving the quality of team deliverables.
  • Provide weekly status reports to the management
  • Lead and direct completion of tasks within estimated time frames and enforces work standards for Technical development
  • Lead processes, document gaps, and provide solutions to bridge gaps and enhance processes for customer migration to R12 standard model
  • Support planning and scheduling direction for project and release management
  • Identify any recommended enhancements to existing Oracle R12 Application implementation
  • Oversee solution designs and data mapping for interfaces, extensions, conversions, and reports
  • Plan cut-over approach for adding new customizations into the production environment and post-production support
  • Develop test plans, provide testing documentation, and perform testing activities
  • Assist with training sessions and documentation
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide cut-over activities into the production environment
  • Document all recommendations, requirements, design, configurations, meeting notes, test scripts and results, and project issues as needed

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a Bachelors’ degree with coursework in computing or information systems and progressively responsible technology-related and analysis experience.
  • Three (3) years or more of development and support experience with excellent problem-solving skills on Oracle EBS R12 environment
  • Experience working in a large governmental environment preferred

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have 5 years or greater related experience as a hands-on lead/manager over the team of around 3-4 resources providing CEMLI development.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ project lead/management experience in implementing Oracle HCM/Payroll applications
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating across all project levels
  • Prior experience designing and executing end-to-end integration testing
  • Prior experience with data conversion requirements and mapping
  • Prior experience designing and implementing EBS Reports
  • Hands on experience with Oracle EBS Development
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and problem solving ability with prior experience working to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the Oracle E-Business Suite

Knowledge Of:

  • SOA architecture
  • Working knowledge of any middleware (preferably TIBCO) for integrations is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Java is a plus
  • MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
