Instructing patients to complete documents and forms such as intake and insurance forms will be the main duties of the Patient Registration Specialist. If you're looking for work as a Patient Registration Specialist, this long-term contract to hire position in the Philadelphia area is ideal for you!Key responsibilities:Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
Schedule, cancel and confirm patient appointments. Compile and record and archive medical charts, reports, and correspondence with confidentiality.
Operate telephones, and direct calls, emails, and documents to appropriate staff.
Perform various clerical and administrative functions, such as ordering, receiving and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
Transmit correspondence and medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax. Verify insurance (Via Navinet, Availity, and phone), obtain authorizations and certifications and explain patient responsibility forms.
Requirements
1 year Customer Service background especially in a call center
Insurance Verification background (Use of Navient required plus other insurance portals)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Data Entry experience preferred
Excellent Verbal and Written Skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
