We are recruiting for a Publisher to join the Medicine & Health journals team. The Publisher will be responsible for our portfolio of Psychoanalysis journalsThe successful candidate will be a part of our highly motivated team, supporting T&Fs wider success through the management and development of high profile academic journals. Our Psychoanalysis portfolio publishes at the cutting edge of the field, working with leaders in academia, healthcare and industry. As part of our global cross-functional publishing team this role will work closely with colleagues and partners around the world.What you'll be doing:Portfolio Management and GrowthCreating and delivering strategic development plans that drive quality, growth, and profitability for our Biomedicine and Endocrinology portfolio.Overseeing and managing P&Ls under the direction of you manager.Meeting and wherever possible exceeding revenue and article volume targets.Building, maintaining and sharing a thorough knowledge of market need and competitor activity to inform decisions on journal developmentManaging the successful transition to T&F of acquired titlesWorking with external Editors, Editorial teams and internal colleagues to commission and acquire new contentRelationship ManagementBuilding and maintaining strategic partnerships with academic societiesBuilding and maintaining strategic partnerships with journal editors and potential editors from relevant academic communities.Developing networks within academic communities to position T&F as a subject leaderRepresenting T&F Journals at conferences and editorial board meetingsChampioning portfolio initiatives with internal and external stakeholdersCollaborating effectively with the team to exchange ideas, share best practices, and offer necessary support.Supporting the best interests of the business during negotiations, collaborating with their manager to ensure a positive outcomes for all parties involvedOperational ExcellenceEnsuring compliance with T&F Journals policies and best practicesOptimising publishing processes for efficiency and qualityCollaborating with and supporting the work of the Editorial Services teamCollaborating across departments to ensure publication quality and timelinessAssuming accountability for managing your own learning, taking responsibility to identify and develop skills gaps
