Join us in our mission to provide unparalleled defense solutions to protect our nation and its allies.Position: Quality Engineer 1Key Responsibilities:As a Quality Engineer at Derbyshire Machine and Tool co., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of our cutting-edge defense systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough quality assessments, inspections, and audits throughout the production lifecycle.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish and implement effective quality control processes.

Identifying areas for process improvement and working on continuous enhancement initiatives.

Analyzing and interpreting technical specifications and blueprints to ensure adherence to standards.

Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Participating in design reviews to provide insights on manufacturability and quality requirements.

Review work orders, routings and prepare for release.

Approve DMT purchase orders for technical accuracy

Qualifications:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Quality Engineer who possesses:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Experience in quality engineering within the defense industry or a related field.

Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations within the defense sector.

Proficiency in quality management tools, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis techniques.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma) are a significant advantage.

Will train in all areas
