Reporting to the Director of Research Resources, this position will, manage, from the end users perspective, support service requests and, with supervision of the Director of Research Resources, minor renovation projects as well as projects related to programmatic renovation, relocation, expansion and consolidation. This position will manage multiple, concurrent projects by performing and coordinating various project related tasks and activities.What you will do
1. Support Service Coordination
Receive and acknowledge requests for communications, facilities, information technologies, keys, etc within 24 hours of receipt 90% of the time
Verify requests, resolve missing or incorrect data
Route requests for non-routine services through appropriate review channels within the Research Institute
Follow up with end user to make sure requests were completed in a timely fashion and to the customer's satisfaction
2. Project Management
Observe and coordinate multiple, concurrent minor renovation projects to existing research and administrative space including utilization of outside contractors and CHOP support department staff as appropriate
Coordinate investigator relocations.
Track timelines of projects relative to plans
Identify, establish and request infrastructure appropriate for the incorporation of research capital acquisitions
Coordinate minor renovation, maintenance and other related issues to ensure minimal impact to ongoing research activities
3. Education/ Mentoring
Advise investigators and program staff regarding procedural issues
Interpret relevant policies and procedures for incoming investigators and staff
Provide referrals as appropriate to other units within the administrative groups of the CHOP Research Institute
Advocate for research issues in various forums as appropriate
4. Space Allocation and Management
Provide recommendations to the Director of Research Resources for space allocation and planning
Implement directives from senior leadership regarding space allocation or reallocation
5. Other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
Ability to achieve project objectives on multiple, complex projects running simultaneously.
