In the role of Senior Financial Consultant, we'll count on you to:

Lead development of practice in grants management, including grant initiation, administration, and reporting.

Manage tasks to provide grants lifecycle management services, directly support clients with grants management, and manage teams that assist grants management.

Manage tasks to identifying projects that would be competitive for grant programs included in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and assist in writing and managing the teams that write grant applications.

Research and evaluate potential funding sources and financing options and assist in the development of financial strategies for transportation projects and short and long-range capital improvement programs, planning, design, construction and operations and maintenance.

Develop grant pursuit and grants management strategies.

Develop and manage existing and new infrastructure financing client opportunities.

Actively contribute to the growth of HDR's grants and infrastructure finance practice, both in the local area, and nationally.

Supporting marketing of grants and infrastructure finance consulting services to transportation clients in the local area and nationally.

Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.

Coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development.

Support client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.

Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.

Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule.

Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed.

Perform other duties as needed.Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field.

A minimum of 9 years of related work experience.

Efficient use of the internet and other electronic/print media for research.

Ability to lead pursuits and targeted marketing opportunities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills.

Self-starter with proven track record of accomplishments.

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in related field.

A minimum of 15 years of work experience advising grants strategy, grant applications, and grants management for State Departments of Transportation, transit agencies, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, municipal governments, or other public agencies.

Position requires an individual with the ability to interact with clients and make presentations to client leadership and governing boards.

The expected compensation range for this position is $117,047 - $167,210 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
