We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Strategy & Consolidation Architect for a fixed-term consulting engagement of 2.5 to 3 months, requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. Your primary objective will be to evaluate the consolidation of two complex Microsoft 365 tenants and deliver a definitive recommendation on a phased migration approach.This assessment requires expertise in hybrid identity, endpoint management, security compliance, and licensing, resulting in a roadmap that supports a secured, scalable, and compliant tenant configuration for future acquisitions.ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Analysis: Lead the assessment of two distinct MS 365 environments, focusing on identifying dependencies, B2B connections, multi-forest/domain complexity, and endpoint management models.Identity Strategy: Define the strategy for consolidating corporate identities, specifically bridging the gap between an on-prem Active Directory environment and a cloud-transitioning identity model.Security & Compliance Gap Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis to ensure the final tenant configuration aligns with critical security and compliance requirements, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR/EU data residency.Licensing and Cost Management: Evaluate current MS 365 licensing models to identify risks of duplicate licensing and propose a technology consolidation and cost optimization plan.Migration Strategy & Blueprint: Design a phased migration approach and a target architectural configuration that effectively supports future acquisitions without introducing new complexity.Reporting & Estimation: Prepare the final assessment report, including the technology consolidation strategy, the cost/licensing optimization plan, and a rough estimation of the migration project timeline and resource needs.Stakeholder Management: Plan and lead assessment workshops and interview sessions with key technical and business stakeholders to align on objectives and gather deep architectural data.
