Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Senior Traction Power Engineer include design production and technical leadership for rail systems projects. Specific responsibilities include design, technical leadership of specific design packages as well as coordinating the assembly of plans and specifications. Individual must be technically competent, with recognized rail specialization that resolves problems of significant scope and complexity. Individual may be required to plan, organize, and coordinate work of small to medium staff of professionals and technicians and lead in the formulation of advance technical concepts in proposal development, preliminary project/program phases and presentations to client.Key word(s): Sr. Electrical Engineer, transit systems, traction power, electrical, rail transit, railway design, transportation, engineering, transit design, electrical

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree

PE license preferred.

10+ years experience in railway engineering/systems. Solid experience with rail systems including AC/DC traction power design and implementation is required. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Candidates who reside locally in the Boston or Philadelphia metro area are preferred.
