Solution ArchitectLocation: Remote work available to qualified candidates within the US.Position SummaryThe Solution Engineering team is a strategic partner to the sales organization and responsible for building a compelling vision of Bentley solutions for Bentley users and prospects in some of the largest organizations in the world. As a Solution Architect, your role will be to provide in-depth technical expertise and support to Account Advancement (Sales) and accounts with specific knowledge of an industry, process, or capability that very few others possess. You will work closely with Account Advancement, Solutions Engineering, and User Success, acting as a trusted advisor and consultant to understand account needs and propose solutions based on Bentley's infrastructure software products. This role involves conducting technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts, as well as providing post-sales technical support, with a focus on a specialty that could span across traditional industry boundaries,By developing a unique relationship and understanding of both the Bentley site design products and solutions as well as the user needs, the Solution Architect plays a key role in the team’s ability to use that knowledge in Bentley’s sales team, user services, and product development (Account Advancement, User Success, and Product Advancement).Responsibilities:Build Relationships

Work closely with customers and sales to develop technical account strategies and compelling value propositions.

Collaborate (and be leveraged by) Account Advancement (Sales) teams to run discovery sessions, identify customer value, gather requirements, and propose tailored infrastructure software solutions.

Prepare and recommend scope of services to properly implement solutions.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, User Success and Marketing to align technical and business requirements, share customer insights, identify product enhancement opportunities, new go-to-market solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of Bentley's software offerings.

Tell Our Story

Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to showcase the value and functionality of Bentley's products.

Create effective presentations and demonstrations that illustrate the capabilities, workflows, and value of Bentley’s structural analysis and design products.

Address technical questions, concerns, and objections raised by accounts, while highlighting the benefits and competitive advantages of the company's solutions.

Develop sales shareable content including datasets, videos, sales presentations with attention to detail.

Be an Expert

Understand civil site design engineering challenges and design workflows and apply this knowledge to make product and solution recommendations .

Possess a deep understanding of Bentley's infrastructure software products, including their features, capabilities, and integration with other systems.

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to provide informed recommendations and insights to the sales team and accounts.

Prepare and deliver compelling technical proposals, documentation, and responses to RFPs in conjunction with Applications Engineers and Solutions Architects.

Build strong connections with key stakeholders, including users within accounts, partners, and internal teams, fostering trust as a go-to subject matter expert resource with credibility and a positive reputation internally and externally to Bentley.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

Knowledge of civil site engineering design and analysis workflows. Ability to deliver technical discussions on use of software to take a civil site project from concept to delivery.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field, with a preference for civil site design industry experience

5years of technical sales experience in the civil engineering industry.

In-depth knowledge of site planning, earthwork grading, stormwater design and analysis, water and sanitary sewer design, plan production, and construction.

Deep familiarity with Bentley Systems solutions and their application in addressing customer needs.

Knowledge of similar site design solutions a plus

Ability to travel up to 25% to engage with customers and support sales activities effectively.

Dedication to learning new concepts and being able to engage industry professionals to show value of new workflows.

Strong knowledge of a specific component within the infrastructure software technologies, such as reality capture, virtualization, cloud computing, networking, and security.

Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency in delivering technical demonstrations, conducting proof-of-concepts, and responding to technical inquiries.

Solid understanding of the sales process and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams to drive revenue growth.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess customer requirements and propose effective solutions.

Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

This role requires minimal travel.

Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements (https://www.bls.gov/ors/factsheet/visual-overview-of-physical-demands.htm) ).
