This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.On Friday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.AECOM’s Water Business Line in the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philadelphia, PA and Conshohocken, PA) is seeking a talented Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to work in the water/wastewater treatment design group.Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Interns work with cutting-edge technology, learn industry’s best practices, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a globally recognized firm. The program fosters both technical and professional skill development while providing networking opportunities that can enhance future career prospects. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.This position is expected to begin Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Supporting the water group by preparing design drawings, plans, technical reports and details, for various water/wastewater treatment projects.Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:​​​​​​Candidates must pursue a bachelor’s degree in environmental/civil engineering or in another related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree and are currently or planning to continue with their master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates not pursuing a master’s degree must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term.Preferred Qualifications:Completed university courses in water treatment (Fluid Mechanics, Water Resources, Hydrology, Environmental Chemistry)
