About Fishadelphia

Fishadelphia works on land and in waters that are home to the Lenape people, who have harvested fish and shellfish here for thousands of years. We are a community seafood program that brings high quality, fresh seafood from small-scale fisherfolk and shellfish farmers to economically and culturally diverse consumers in the Philadelphia region. Members join our Seafood Club and pick up fresh seafood every other week at one of our 15+ community-hosted pickup locations around Philly and its suburbs.

Our small team is passionate about making fresh, local seafood inclusive and accessible, especially for folks who might not otherwise have access to it. We’re a tight-knit group that makes many programming decisions collaboratively, and we are interested in fostering a sense of collective ownership. Our program team in Philly is all people of color (Black, Asian, Latinx), and many of us are queer.
