Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Dish Washer/Prep Cook to join our team andensure that our kitchen is clean and well-maintained, and also assist with the preparation of high-quality meals for our guests. The Dish Washer/Prep Cook will be responsible for washing dishes, pots, and pans, preparing ingredients and assisting with the production of menu items, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy objects.
Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping the floor and cleaning equipment and surfaces
Prepare ingredients for menu items, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring out spices and other ingredients
Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines, including properly handling and storing food
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dish washer or prep cook or in a similar role
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of food safety standards and guidelines
Basic math skills
Ability to lift heavy objects
