Ember & Ash, an East Passyunk neighborhood restaurant with a custom wood-burning hearth, is in search of a prep cook to become a part of our culinary family.
Qualified candidates will possess basic technical skills and a willingness to learn about live fire cooking using our wood-burning hearth. Because we have an open kitchen, a professional appearance and the ability to remain calm during busy periods is essential.
Additional requirements include:
Basic knife skills
Understanding of seasonal and local ingredients
The willingness to learn and function as part of a small team where back-of-house team members occasionally run food and interact with guests
An interest in no-waste cooking
A passion for excellent food and hospitality
Flexible weekday availability
Weekend availability
