The Violetwood cafe in Levittown is looking for a hands-on Lead Line Cook to help run our busy breakfast and lunch kitchen. This role is perfect for someone who loves cooking classic daytime dishes, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is excited to lead and mentor a small team.
What you’ll be doing
Leading the line during breakfast and lunch service, keeping tickets moving and standards high.
Cooking and plating dishes so they look great and taste consistent every time.
Guiding and supporting other cooks and prep staff, answering questions and jumping in where needed.
Training newer team members on recipes, station setup, and kitchen standards.
Helping manage prep lists, portions, and par levels so the team is always ready for a rush.
Keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and in line with all health and safety guidelines.
Communicating with front-of-house so orders are smooth, accurate, and on time.
Assisting with inventory, ordering, and reducing waste.
What we’re looking for
3+ years of line cook experience, ideally in a busy breakfast or brunch spot.
Comfortable taking the lead on the line and delegating tasks to others.
Strong sense of urgency and organization during peak times.
A team-first attitude and the ability to coach others with patience and respect.
Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation; certification is a plus.
Able to work early mornings, weekends, and some holidays.
