We’re looking for a part-time private chef to help us with weekly meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal prep.
What We Need:
- One visit per week (Tuesday or Saturday preferred)
- Grocery shopping at nearby market(s) (e.g., Rittenhouse farmers' market/Rittenhouse Market/Trader Joe’s). We’ll reimburse all costs, including Uber/Lyft to bring back groceries if necessary. If this role is a great fit save for this dimension, we're open to discussing another way to source ingredients so you can focus on cooking only.
- Cooking and storing two meals, each with enough servings for two people for two nights (total: 4 dinners)
- Light breakfast prep (e.g., baked frittata, overnight oats, smoothie batch, hard-boiled eggs, cut fruit, etc.).
- Clean-up after cooking and proper care of kitchen tools (e.g., no metal on cast iron).
Who We’re Looking For:
- Someone creative and adaptable with meal planning, taking into account our dietary preferences, health goals, and allergens. We're looking for fresh, generally vegetarian-forward, hearty and flavorful meals.
- Reliable, organized, and efficient—able to complete the work in about 4-6 hours per visit.
- Comfortable handling shopping and ingredient sourcing.
- Clean and detail-oriented in the kitchen.
Compensation:
- Depending on experience, $30+/hour pre-tax
How to Apply:
- Send us a short message about yourself, your cooking experience, and why this role interests you. If we think there might be a fit, we'll share more details about what type of cuisine we're looking for and ask you to share a hypothetical meal plan for a couple weeks, as well as any references you might have. After that, we would invite you for a paid trial meal prep session as a demo (just cooking, no shopping).
If this sounds like the right gig for you, reach out! Looking forward to finding the right fit.
