Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
- Assist with front office tasks as needed
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
- Proficiency in taking and developing dental x-rays, certification required
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with medical imaging software and equipment
- Ability to accurately document medical information using Denticon or similar software
- Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures
- Proficient in maintaining aseptic technique during procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Must have at least one year of experience in assistant experience in general dentistry and a valid Radiology license for the state of PA. We are seeking only reliable, friendly and flexible people who want to be a part of a great team!
