Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Health Aide to provide high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and providing emotional support to individuals in need of senior care and dementia care. This role requires a caring and empathetic individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Monitor and report patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medication and assist with catheter care, as needed
- Provide patient care, including assisting with transfers and mobility
- Conduct patient observations and report any changes in the patient's condition to the healthcare team
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
- Engage in activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being
- Communicate with patients and their families to ensure that their needs are being met
Skills:
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Experience with senior care and dementia care
- Knowledge of vital signs and patient care
- Experience with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Ability to perform catheter care and administer medication
- Familiarity with patient observation and reporting
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with home community care
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (CNA or HHA) is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
