Provenance Companies is currently looking for highly motivated and self-starting individuals to join our team at the entry level. Provenance is a small, but fast-growing company, involved in many diverse facets of the architectural salvage and reclaimed material industry. From deconstruction to processing, retail sales to custom design and fabrication, logistics and shipping, we go above and beyond to provide our clients with top of the industry service no matter the simplicity or complexity.
This is an hourly position with a starting rate of $18/hr. This position is in our Facilities and Products division.
We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. The full-time position is approximately 40 hours a week with some overtime occasionally available. Scheduling may vary from week to week but is generally Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The part-time position is generally 2 to 3 days a week or 14 to 27 hours (there is flexibility on this schedule). It is necessary to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your shift and it may be required to stay late on any given day. It will also be necessary to occasionally be available to arrive early to receive inventory. A 30-minute paid lunch is provided.
This position will be initially responsible for (but not limited to):
WOODPILE MAINTENANCE & INVENTORY
This includes stacking, banding, organization of various types of reclaimed wood (both by hand and with a forklift), as well as filling customer orders and maintaining inventory.
SHIPPING & RECEIVING
This includes receiving inventory from our vendors as well as coordinating client deliveries with our shipping partners or physical delivery via box truck.
FACILITIES, VEHICLES, & TOOL MAINTENANCE
Facilities cleaning/maintenance and coordination of facilities repair with the building property manager. Tracking and scheduling of regular maintenance of company vehicles. Inventory, maintenance and replacement of company tools as needed.
DECONSTRUCTION
Availability and enthusiasm to work under company supervision on salvage sites as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the operation of the company forklift and box truck so a valid driver’s license as well as a medical card is necessary. If the applicant does not have a current medical card, the company will assist in obtaining one. The company will also provide forklift training.
A flexible attitude and a desire to learn.
SUGGESTED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Working knowledge and some experience with small hand held power tools. Working knowledge of square footage, linear footage, and an ability to calculate them accurately. Some knowledge of computers and current software (email, Microsoft, search engines, etc.). This is an entry level position in a growing company that promotes from within. Advancement is possible based on performance.
