We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing timely and effective non-emergency medical response.
Job Overview
As a Dispatcher at Dynamic Ambulance, you will play a critical role in coordinating non-emergency response services and ensuring efficient communication between our field personnel, medical teams, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize calls from clients and other medical facilities.
- Dispatch vehicles to designated locations, considering factors such as proximity, and traffic conditions, while prioritizing calls.
- Coordinate with field personnel and provide necessary information and instructions to ensure the appropriate response.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calls, dispatches, and other relevant information.
- Monitor and track the location and status of emergency response vehicles using GPS and other tracking systems.
- Communicate effectively with medical teams, clients, and other relevant stakeholders to provide timely updates and information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols related to emergency dispatch services.
- Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
- Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in emergency dispatch or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an emergency service or healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with dispatch software and GPS systems.
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols is desirable.
- Ability to work in a shift-based schedule, including flexibility with nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and a passion for providing exceptional emergency medical services.
